Q: What is included in the inspection?

A: Hoosier Sewer Scope will send an email that includes the recorded video, a written report of findings and suggestions, and a link to pay the invoice.

Q: What do you charge for a scope?

A: Check out our “Pricing” page for details.

Q: Does someone need to be at the house when the sewer inspection is happening?

A: No. Anyone is welcome to be there, but it is not necessary.

Q: Do you use a real estate appointment software?

A: Yes, for Central Indiana, Hoosier Sewer Scope has a Broker Bay account and can schedule appointments with sellers. For NE Indiana, use of Showing Time is in our near future.

Q: How does the customer pay?

A: We include a PayPal link in our email report. You can pay via credit card with that link once you receive the report. You can also pay cash if you meet us at the inspection.

Q: Whose contact info do I provide during booking?

A: Whoever is responsible for receiving the report and paying the invoice. You can also add additional email recipients “Other helpful info” section when booking.

Q: Do you pull toilets and get in crawl spaces if necessary?

A: Yes. If there isn’t a cleanout or it is not accessible, we can pull a toilet. We will then reinstall the toilet with a new wax ring. We will also do our best to access a cleanout if it is in a crawl space.

Q: Do you perform repairs if needed?

A: No. Hoosier Sewer Scope wants to remain unbiased and objective, so we do not perform repairs (no-upselling). However, should you need a referral to a trusted plumber or contractor, we can provide that information.

Q: Do you inspect septic tanks?

A: We inspect the lateral line from the house to the septic tank, however we do not perform environmental or functional inspections of the tank or the drain field.
